Yes, we’ve had this discussion before. Gun-related stickers and signs can be a liability. Allegedly. Some gun owners (and commenters here) say it’s all just urban legend.

Now, though, a Georgia sheriff is reporting that he’s seeing vehicles being broke into by thieves looking for guns.

As Fox 5 Atlanta is reporting . . .

Thieves looking for firearms are keying in on pickups with hunting or even patriotic stickers or emblems.

“It may say I’m a sportsman and there may be a weapon in that center console,” said [Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb].  “It is something we deal with on a regular basis.”

OK then. You’d think the same would apply to NRA stickers, “Protected by Smith & Wesson” and the like.
