1 Greg O’Shea

Sure, he swept in and saved Amber from the Micheal-drama, and plays rugby professionally, bit Greg O’Shea also ran for Ireland. In a photo from 2013, O’Shea can be seen on the Ireland Junior Relay Team. Impressive.

2 Arabella Chi

Her time on Love Island was rather brief, but model Arabella is definitely a secret runner, crossing the line of her first marathon in Lisbon in 2016. We’re not sure of her exact finish time, but in her caption she writes “4 hours of a complete mixture of happiness and pain”.

3 Dani Dyer

Essex girl Dani Dyer took to Instagram to celebrate her Hackney half-marathon finish a month before entering the villa last year, writing: “Half-marathon done!! 2:20!!! Loved it but I am never doing a full one.” On clarifying her finishing time, it turns out Dani actually finished in 2:02:47, (her gun time was 2:24:01) – well done Dani.

4 Eyal Booker

A somewhat controversial figure in last year’s villa, Eyal ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon back in 2016 with his mum, crossing the line in two hours and 50 minutes. In his Instagram post, he wrote: “Today my mum and I ran the Royal half Marathon to raise money and awareness for the charity Young Epilepsy. It was tough but we did it!!”

5 Jamie Jewitt

Before going into the villa, 2017 Love Island contestant Jamie Jewitt challenged himself to run a half marathon every weekend. From the looks of his Nike Plus screenshots, he was pretty speedy too. Accompanying one screenshot on Twitter was the caption: “personal challenge: aim for one ½ marathon a week. This was Friday’s. #challengeyourself #menshealth #askjamie.’

6 Josh Denzel

Although Denzel hasn’t completed an official race (that we know of), he qualifies for this list after running with Sir Mo Farah himself in his day job as a presenter for LADbible and SPORTBible.

7 Gabby Allen

You might recognise 2017’s Gabby Allen from the Asics Sakura campaigns. She’s also got a treadmill at home, where she clocks up most of her miles, writing on Instagram: “I love a steady state long distance run working on pushing my endurance and stamina, I get a lot of thinking done too, work is done on the treadmill.”
