AUSTIN, TX —If you’re looking for opportunities to compliment your Cap10k training alongside motivated runners, enjoy a morning of fun and have your picture taken next to the statue of the iconic Willie Nelson outside Moody Theater, you won’t want to miss The Willie Love to Run – a creative 3-mile social run through Austin.

The Willie Love to Run is an Austin 10K’r social training routes organized by Cap10K staff and is open to all levels of runners and is free and open to all. Participants will meet and end their run the Austin American-Statesman’s West parking lot, and will enjoy hot chocolate, Ruta Maya coffee and other snacks at the finish. Runners can expect to run 3-miles intersecting Butler Park, crossing the Lady Bird Lake and stroll through the entertainment district of downtown to the statue of Austin’s most iconic singer-songwriters.

Social run routes will be scheduled throughout the year, and each meeting incorporates a creative theme highlighting Austin’s culture and the Cap10K. There will be maps, bottled water, nutritional bars, and plenty of opportunities for celebratory high fives and selfies to be shared. Baby joggers and leash pets are always welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring their friends.

Social run route distances vary between 3-6 miles and will be scheduled regularly throughout the year. Each meeting will incorporate a creative theme that highlights the culture of Austin and the Cap10K. Maps, bottled water, nutritional bars, high fives and selfies will be shared at each meeting.
